On mobile, avid gamers enjoy unbelievable experiences, and regardless of age, their passion for games such as Candy Crush Saga, Cut the Rope, Infinity Blade, Angry Birds and others, has gone to the extremes. There’s nothing wrong with playing games, particularly when they’re so challenging and so beautifully made. Here are 10 best iOS games that rocked our world.
Cut the Rope
This was an epic iOS game that was downloaded by millions of people. Released in 2010, “Cut the Rope” had many sequels, and it was one of those games we could never forget. Players had to cut a rope and feed candy to the adorable monster Om Nom. Mixing devilishly tricky levels, outstanding graphics and brightly colored visuals, ‘Cut the Rope’ was one of the most intelligently-made puzzle games ever released for iOS.
Plants vs. Zombies
‘Plants vs. Zombies’ was a tower defense game released back in 2009. Players had to protect their home from a whole arsenal of zombie-zapping plants using all sorts of weapons like wall-nuts, peashooters, and cherry bombs. Packed with plenty of twists and turns, this iOS game proved to be quite an innovation, especially since you had to use your supplies strategically in order to stay alive.
Where’s My Water
We didn’t think ‘Where’s My Water’ was that pioneering, until we started playing it. Players had guide water to Swampy’s broken shower, and surprisingly this game proved to be a lot more difficult than we first anticipated. It became an addiction for many iOS fans, particularly because it had lots of challenging levels. Guiding clean water through toxic waste and dirt is not that easy.
Real Racing 2
Real Racing 2 promised iOS fans incredible racing experiences and it didn’t disappoint. Players had over 30 officially licensed car at their disposal and exclusive performance characteristics. All they had to do was race to the finish line.
‘Device 6’ was characterized by fans and critics as the most mysterious, elegant, and strangest games ever made for a touchscreen device. It involved a lot of reading, and it caught people’s attention through words and not necessarily through action. Players had to flip and rotate their devices, chase a winding map of design and description, and complete the most sinister adventure of their lives.
Infinity Blade II
Are you ready to die and come back to life to complete your quest? Because that’s exactly what Infinity Blade II is all about. Featuring an addictive gameplay and incredible visuals, this iOS game was a hit back in 2011, when it was released.
Angry Birds Star Wars
Join the Angry Birds in an epic adventure against the evil Pigtroopers, and get ready to explore the legendary Star Wars universe. Use your weapons to annihilate your enemies and defeat Darth Vader, also known as the Dark Lord of the Pigs. Do you have what it takes to become a Jedi Master and reinstate freedom in the galaxy?
Fruit Ninja is an iOS game made specifically for touchscreen. Released in 2010, it involved a lot of fruit-slicing, and although it was simple enough to master, it became an addiction for many iOS fans. Time-based modes and online multiplayer experiences made the whole game incredibly enticing for players of all ages.
Grand Theft Auto 3
This open-world action game made initially for consoles, arrived to the iOS in 2011. It instantly drew attention with enhanced HD graphics and incredible action. Crafted in third person, players were allowed to interact and make their own decisions inside the game, thus changing the final outcome.
If you haven’t had a chance to play Asphalt 8: Airborne on iOS yet, now it’s time to do it. Released in 2013, this revolutionary game takes the whole racing experience to a whole new level. Featuring on-screen controls and touchscreen wheeling, Airborne has lots of incredible cars you can master, as well as multiplayer events to keep fans busy for hours.
